July 2020 Lemayian Trip - Kenya

Explore Grassroots Humanitarian Organizations + Conservation Activities and Education

Visit Kenya with a small group of individuals who have a passion for helping our global community and a curiosity to expand their horizons.

Over the course of 11 days you will witness compassion in action as you visit three organization that the Richer Life Foundation has partnered with. At Ruben Centre, known as an “Oasis of Hope” in the Mukuru community, you’ll have two days to tour the 26+ programs including a school, health clinic, radio station, and urban garden. At GRACE Nanana, you’ll learn about how girls are rescued from oppression and given the opportunity to become educated and independent. At Kajiado Child Care Centre, you will learn about how children born with physical disabilities are given the tools and skills to overcome their daily challenges.

We’ll also stay several days at a wildlife conservancy in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Here, we’ll learn more about the history of Kenya, its people and culture, and growing conservation practices. This is the more physically active option of our trips to Kenya, with opportunities for bike riding, horseback riding, workouts in the wild, hiking, and helping the conservancy staff. For those with school-aged children, there is a junior ranger program available. This is a prime opportunity to be near the wildlife that Kenya is so famous for.

Additional points of interest we’ll be visiting include the United Nations Headquarters, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage, the Karura Forest, and the Brighton Jones Global Volunteer Guesthouse.
