Kenya Immersion Experiences

The core of our mission is helping our community members live richer lives by encouraging them to pursue their passions. For many, that means taking a step back to assess what those passions are and asking tough questions about whether their intentions are getting enough attention.

With the Brighton Jones Richer Life Foundation, we are putting our compassion into action by connecting like-minded individuals, organizations, and networks to catalyze learning and impact. Our Lemayian trips are deeply impactful to trip participants. We speak with local and international leaders of projects that are saving lives daily. We meet children facing extreme poverty, environmental degradation, and social barriers and show them loving kindness. There are opportunities to share stories with the group and learn about the often overlooked complexities of international development and charitable giving. Through the many challenges and eye-opening experiences, we emerge hopeful and with a new perspective that will last a lifetime.

We look forward to showing you a fascinating side of Kenya that keeps us going back year after year!

FEBRUARY 2020 - KENYA LEMAYIAN TRIP

The February itinerary is one that will fill you with hope, compassion, and wonder. We begin by visiting Nairobi, the colorful capital of Kenya. Then, we spend several days visiting grassroots organizations that are working to improve their communities and the lives of children living in poverty or experiencing disabilities, as well as those rescued from illegal customs such as early marriage. We’ll learn from the organization’s leaders, spend time with the staff, and enjoy fun activities with the children.

We will travel to the famous Maasai Mara—the famous national reserve—that is home to all types of wildlife. During our multi-day safari, we will learn about the ecosystem from knowledgeable guides while we seek a glimpse of elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, buffalo, gazelles, hyenas, and many more spectacular species.

We’ll have remarkable experiences at camp and in the park. Be prepared for surprises and don’t forget your camera for this bucket-list-worthy adventure!
